It’s time to review your individual health insurance for 2015.
Due to Healthcare Reform, many people need to review their current health insurance plan and options. We have seen many changes in our health insurance options in 2014 and more changes are ahead in 2015.
Key options to consider for the 2015 open enrollment period.
- Do you have a new ACA qualified plan? If no, your insurance carrier will probably not offer your current health plan. You should have or will be getting a packet from your current health insurance carrier providing you alternate options making your plan ACA qualified
- Will your 2014 ACA Qualified plan be offered in 2015? Some carrier have decided to terminate all 2014 plans and require each person to choose a 2015 plan design. They may have the same name and metal level but can be vastly different.
- Will your current plan offer the same doctors and hospitals? The insurance companies are continually evaluating doctors and hospital for efficiency and care and affordability. Now is a good time to make sure your favorite doctor is still on you list and you may find a doctor that was not on your list previously.
- Has your plan increased in price? We have seen substantial increase in health insurance premiums or a reduction of benefits. Review your plan for pricing and benefits.
